XOLARIS Group in cooperation with HHX-ESLA launches “Blue Nautilus Capital 1 Fund”, a new Alternative Investment Fund for sustainable maritime financing
The Liechtenstein-based XOLARIS Group has launched a new Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) in cooperation with HHX-ESLA which will conduct the financing of maritime investments. A major focus lies on the technical retrofitting and fleet renewal of container ships, tankers and bulkers in order to reduce CO2 emissions and make global trade more environmentally friendly.
The AIF was designed as a SICAV under Liechtenstein law. XOLARIS Capital AG acts as the AIFM. The first sub-fund of the SICAV was launched as an evergreen structure with a focus on private equity debt. The targeted distributions are 6.5% p.a. with half-yearly payouts.
With the joint venture operating under the name HHX-ESLA Advisory GmbH, an internationally renowned, very experienced team of experts has come together to give professional investors the opportunity to participate in the generation of sustainable income. The core competencies are in the areas of evaluation, control and financing of maritime investment opportunities, including credit management in special situations. Furthermore, there has been an active contribution to the goal of sustainable CO2 reduction in shipping for many years. In the past five years, the team has already implemented financing in the maritime industry with a total volume of over USD 1 billion.
