DESCRIPTION:With SDG 6\, the United Nations aims to ensure clean water and sanitation in all countries of the world by 2030. The focus is on improving water quality\, in particular reducing the pollution of groundwater and drinking water by hazardous chemicals from production processes in industry and agriculture. Water bodies are to be protected and restored as natural ecosystems because species loss in rivers\, lakes\, and wetlands is increasing much faster on land than in the sea. Large parts of the world’s population do not have permanent access to clean drinking water but\, more importantly\, still do not have access to clean toilets whose wastewater can be treated and disposed of safely. So not only is there a lack of clean drinking water\, but it is also too polluted. For this reason\, efforts have been made for many years by international organizations to make the high investment requirements in infrastructure and water technologies more attractive to institutional investors by providing appropriate investment opportunities. But what exactly does “water investments” mean\, and what is meant by the various investment strategies and implementation methods? \n  \n \n  \nAbout the XOLARIS Group Founded in 2010\, the XOLARIS Group stands with its AIFM for an independent white label investment company with a focus on Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) in the asset classes Private Equity\, Real Estate\, Renewable Energy and Shipping. Author \nBio: Ernesto Burzić has 25 years of experience in financial markets. He started his career in fund structuring and administration in 1999 with Universal-Investment in Frankfurt. As Sales Director he was responsible for the acquisition of asset managers and institutional investors for the entire range of Master-KVG and fund administration services. In 2007 he joined HSH Nordbank´s asset management unit in Luxembourg for the distribution of alternative investments. After holding further sales positions in Luxembourg in fund administration and fund services\, Ernesto returned to Germany in 2014 as Senior Sales Manager with Munich based asset manager BayernInvest\, the subsidiary of Bayerische Landesbank. In March 2021 he became Head of Sales at XOLARIS AG in order to expand its business with institutional investors and asset managers. Ernesto holds an MBA in Financial Management from City University of Seattle. He studied at the University of Tübingen and also holds a vocational business diploma.
